The YWCA offers computer lessons for all levels of ESL students. Classes are open to all levels but focus on combining computer literacy with English litaracy. The classes emphasize job readiness skills and basic computer skills, such as email, surfing the web, purchacing online, and accessing social media. There is also a strong emphasis on computer focused vocabulary. The instructor is a native from the United States and bilingual in English and Mandarin.
Different classes include:
- Computers to Learn English- This class focuses on using the world wide web to learn English and access valuable resources.
- The English Salon- This event encourages students to practice English with native speakers in a relaxed social setting.
