Part-Time Job Developer
ABOUT US:
The YWCA San Francisco & Marin is part of the first women’s organization in the United States. We are committed to empowering women and eliminating racism through our programs. Our FiftyPlus Employment Program provides job-seekers over 50 with information, resources, individualized coaching and goal-setting services as they search for employment. The program is based at the Marin Employment Connection, a one-stop job service agency located in San Rafael.
SPECIFIC POSITION:
The FiftyPlus Employment Program has an opening for an experienced part-time job developer working 24 hours per week to develop and maintain employer relationships in Marin County. The job developer will work with job seekers to match their qualifications with employers’ hiring needs and provide retention services to participants and employers through follow-up services.
This is a new, part-time position within the program funded by grant money. The position could become full-time in Summer 2009 if additional funds are received.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in job development and placement
- Ability to network with the business community to strengthen employer partnerships and support their workforce needs
- Knowledge of Marin County employers and employment trends; strong preference given to Marin residents
- Experience meeting client employment placement goals, outcomes, and progress within a specified time period and analyzing and writing up data
- Previous experience and interest in working with economically disadvantaged adults
- Ability to work well independently, to organize priorities, to be flexible, and to produce identified outcomes
- Skilled at using Word, Excel, and e-mail programs
- Must have a driver’s license, car, and clean DMV
BENEFITS AND SALARY:
100 percent paid benefits including health, dental, vision, EAP and term life insurance for employee. Salary range in line with non-profit salaries in Marin County.
