Each year, YWCA San Francisco & Marin honors women whose passion and hard work have had a significant impact in Marin County. Nominations for the Marin Women's Hall of Fame are accepted from September 1 until October 15 via our website, and winners are announced the following January. Honorees are chosen by an impartial panel unaffiliated with YWCA San Francisco & Marin, and celebrated with an annual induction ceremony and dinner gala.
In addition to the great honor of holding a place in Marin's ‘HERstory’, selection criteria encourages a broad range of nominations that represent accomplishments in areas including, but not limited to: the natural sciences, social change, community service, equity and justice, civil rights, business, health, education, the environment, animal welfare and ageism. Nominees must reside in Marin County and their contribution should reflect a unique contribution to the county, state, nation and/or beyond.
