YWCA APARTMENTS

The YWCA Apartments building was designed by world-renowned architect Julia Morgan in 1932, and is designated a San Francisco Historical Landmark, as well as a National Monument of Nob Hill.

The YWCA Apartments is a 97-unit, federally subsidized, housing facility for low-income elderly and disabled persons. Each unit is equipped with an all-electric kitchen and a private bathroom. Apartments rent for 30% of household monthly income, and include cost of heating, water and trash disposal. The YWCA Apartments also offers its residents bilingual English/Chinese services; case management and counseling; recreation and cultural enrichment; and information and referral services.

With its beautiful rooms and panoramic views, the YWCA Apartment building also serves as an impressive film or commercial location, and an ideal place to hold weddings, bar mitzvahs, seminars and receptions in well-appointment rooms that hold 20 to 200.
