COMPUTER LEARNING CENTER

The YWCA Apartments, Inc., in partnership with the Office of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), has established a Computer Learning Center that provides introductory computer classes to its senior residents and community members of all ages. From basic typing to desktop publishing, from online naturalization preparation to homework tutorials, the Computer Learning Center offers a wide variety of classes to fit every schedule. Additionally, the Computer Learning Center is the first facility of its type to offer Chinese Windows instruction. Classes include:

  • One-on-one individual computer training program
  • Translation services in English, Chinese, and Russian
  • Chinese language classes, both Mandarin and Cantonese
  • Introduction to Computers
  • Introduction to Windows XP
  • Introduction to Microsoft Office Software
  • Internet
  • Chinese Character Input Method ­ Quick Code 5.0 and Quick 9
  • Microsoft Office XP Small Business Edition
