Career and Employment Programs
Youth Works Program
Provides employment, educational, vocational and independent living skills training and services to Marin County teens and young adults. Participants, many of whom face multiple challenges, gain life-long job search skills, find and keep the right job, graduate from high school and successfully enroll in college and vocational training programs.
Fifty Plus Program
Offers individual employment and career services to Marin County residents ages 50 years and older. Services include skills assessments and coaching in successful job search techniques.
Individuals are assisted with developing resumes and researching vocational training and academic programs. Peer support groups and career-related workshops are scheduled throughout the year.
Career and Employment Enrichment Programs
Brava! Career Mentorship Program
Community volunteer mentors provide one-on-one and group training services, coaching and companionship to young women. Participants learn job search techniques, receive career and life skills support, counseling, and advocacy.
Creative Arts Workshops
This program guides exploration of life transitions through art. Groups of up to 10 individuals meet weekly for 6 sessions.
Affordable Career Counseling
Individual assessment, resume development and career guidance at reduced rates is provided.
Community Events & Projects
Marin Women's Hall of Fame
This annual event selects and honors outstanding Marin County women and their achievements. Founded and sponsored by the YWCA Marin County Center, AAUW and the Marin Womenıs Commission, the Hall of Fame is currently celebrating its 15th year.
Volunteer Recruitment and Training
This program provides opportunities for community members to receive training to become coaches and mentors for YWCA program participants. Short term, long term, group and individual volunteer opportunities are available.

Advocacy & Referral
Legal Clinic
Affordable legal advice from volunteer attorneys is offered. Issues addressed may include employee rights, family law, housing and landlord/tenant disputes. The clinic is open twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday at 7pm.
Information and Referral
The YWCA provides community members with current information and guidance on community resources including health, housing and crisis programs and services.
